At least one person dead after rollover crash on Cactus Rd and 96th St

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – At least one person was killed in a rollover accident at an intersection in Scottsdale on Monday afternoon, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

The accident happened at 96th Street and Cactus Road at around 2 p.m., when at least one vehicle crashed and overturned.

By around 3:30 p.m., at least one person had been pronounced dead at the scene, despite the attempts of rescuers to render aid to the victim or victims.

The intersection was closed as authorities investigated the accident. By around 5:09 p.m., the roadway was reopened to traffic.

The exact cause of the crash and the number of victims are not available at this time.
