Narrative

TEMPE, AZ – One person went to the hospital Sunday morning after a 6-vehicle collision along the highway in Tempe.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. on the eastbound side of the Red Mountain Freeway near McClintock Drive, which is just north of the Salt River and west of AZ-101.

Police haven’t released any details regarding the circumstances of the accident except to say that it involved six vehicles.

There’s no word yet on the victim’s condition.

A full investigation is underway.
