1 dead, 1 injured after small plane crashes at Ryan Airfield in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – One person was killed, and another was injured after a small aircraft crashed at Ryan Airfield in Tucson this morning, according to CBS 5 News.

The collision happened at Runway 6R at around 7:15 a.m., when a Long-EZ aircraft crashed on the runway.

One person died following the collision.

The other occupant of the aircraft was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
