23-year-old motorcyclist dead, man facing charges from Tucson accident

TUCSON, AZ – A man is facing manslaughter charges in connection with an accident that left a motorcyclist dead in midtown Tucson this weekend, according to KOLD News 13.

The crash occurred near the intersection of E Alturas Street and N First Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, when the driver of a red 2021 Jeep Gladiator, 48-year-old Daniel Warren Foster, reportedly ran a stop sign.

He collided with 23-year-old Erik Dominic Guzman, operating a blue 2017 Yamaha YZFR1 motorcycle.

Guzman died at the scene.

Foster, who remained at the scene of the crash, was found to be under the influence. He was taken to the Pima County Jail on charges of DUI and manslaughter.

He was not reported as injured in the crash.
