TUCSON, AZ – A 25-year-old motorcyclist died as a result of a collision with an SUV in Tucson last week, according to KOLD.
The accident occurred near the intersection of E 22nd Street and S 4th Avenue at about 9 p.m. Wednesday, when the driver of a black 2011 Dodge Nitro turned in front of the 25-year-old operator of a 2020 Harley-Davidson FXLRS motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Daniel Joseph Huggins, crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle after its driver reportedly failed to yield the right of way.
Huggins, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, died at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene after the crash and is not thought to have been under the influence at the time. Their identity was not immediately released.
