6-year-old Tucson girl killed in pedestrian accident on Fort Lowell Rd

TUCSON, AZ – A 6-year-old girl was killed when she and a family member attempted to cross W. Ft. Lowell Rd and she was struck by a car.

According to KVOA, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. Police say the girl and a family member were crossing the street and made it to the center median. For unknown reasons, the girl ran into the road and was struck by a car.

The driver of the car immediately stopped to render aid. The girl was transported to a local hospital, where she died.

Police do not believe the driver was impaired.
