70-year-old man killed in T-bone collision in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – A 70-year-old man died when he failed to stop at a stop sign on Saturday afternoon and collided with a pickup truck on Sixth St.

According to Tucson.com, the victim was identified as Rafael Celaya. Celaya ran through a stop sign at the intersection of South Sixth Avenue and East Michigan Drive. A 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck hit Celaya’s car, a 2005 Volvo S60.

Celaya died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not impaired at the time of the crash.
