TUCSON, AZ – At least one person was seriously injured during a collision in the Dietz neighborhood in East Tucson on Friday afternoon, according to Ofc. Frank Magos of the Tucson Police Department.

The accident happened at the intersection of S Pantano Road ant E Golf Links Road before 5:25 p.m. and appears to have involved two vehicles, both of which sustained heavy front-end damage.
Magos stated that serious injury occurred during the crash.
Authorities closed down eastbound Golf Links Rd, near S Prudence Road, in response to the crash, and asked drivers to avoid the area.
The accident remains under investigation.
