Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash on E 22nd St

TUCSON, AZ – A man died following a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on E 22nd Street on Tuesday afternoon, according to information from KOLD News.

The collision occurred in the 5100 block of E 22nd St at around 12 p.m., when the driver of a gray 1999 Saturn S12 reportedly failed to yield and turned into a private drive. The Saturn then collided with a motorcyclist and a white 2011 Nissan Sentra.

The motorcyclist, identified as 53-year-old John Morales, was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist may have been speeding when the accident occurred, though that was not immediately confirmed.

Authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the accident, and their investigation continues at this time.
