Pedestrian killed in Valentine’s-Day crash in SW Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – A pedestrian was killed during a Valentine’s-Day collision in southwest Tucson, according to the Officer Roman Acosta of the Tucson Police Department.


The crash occurred in the 1300 block of W Ajo Way, near S Pandora Avenue, and was reported at 9:05 p.m.

At least one person died as a result of the crash. Their identity was not immediately released.

The eastbound lanes of Ajo Way were closed, and westbound travel was restricted as authorities performed an investigation. Drivers were asked to avoid the area, as traffic delays were likely.
