TUCSON, AZ – A pedestrian was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle in the Santa Rita Park area on Monday afternoon, according to Sgt. Richard Gradillas of the Tucson Police Department.
Eastbound 22nd St. is shutdown from S. 4th Ave. to S. 3rd Ave. as officers from Operations Division South are investigating a pedestrian collision with serious injuries.

The accident occurred on 22nd Street, between S 3rd Avenue and S 4th Avenue, at about 11 a.m.
A pedestrian who was not immediately identified suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
It is unclear if the driver remained at the scene.
Gradillas advised travelers to avoid the area, as the eastbound lanes of 22nd St were shut down as investigators worked the crash.
