Narrative
TUCSON, AZ – One person died Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash at a major intersection in east Tucson.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. along East Broadway Boulevard near Wilmot Road, which is south of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Police say the accident involved a motorcycle and a white passenger vehicle. It’s unclear what caused the crash. The impact caused the passenger vehicle to roll on its side.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name to the public.
It’s unclear if anyone in the passenger vehicle sustained injuries in the collision.
Officials closed the westbound side of Broadway while emergency teams responded to the crash and crews worked to clear the scene.
