Serious injuries reported following single-vehicle crash in Amphi area

TUCSON, AZ – At least one person was seriously injured during a crash on Fontana Avenue in north Tucson yesterday afternoon, according to the Tucson Police Department.


The collision happened near the intersection of N Fontana Ave and E Prince Road in the Amphi neighborhood at about 12 p.m., when a silver sedan crashed. Photos from the scene show the car having sustained significant damage and leaning against another vehicle and a large pile of debris.

At least one person suffered serious injuries in the accident.

Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
