TUCSON, AZ – At least one person was injured in an accident at an intersection in southeast Tucson on Monday morning, according to Officer Melissa Ayun of the Tucson Police Department.

The accident occurred at S Country Club Road and E Bilby Road, northeast of the Tucson International Airport, at about 8:35 a.m.
At least one person sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash.
Their identity and the cause of the accident were not immediately released.
TPD closed traffic in all directions in the area as they investigated. The intersection was re-opened by 11:45 a.m.
