TUCSON, AZ – At least one person was seriously hurt during a traffic accident on Irvington Road in south Tucson this weekend, according to Ofc. Melissa Ayun with the Tucson Police Department.
Please avoid E. Irvington Rd. from S. Mountain Ave. to S. Calle Pilar. Traffic is closed both East & West bound.
Operations Division South is investigating a traffic accident with serious injuries.

The accident happened on E. Irvington Road between S. Calle Pilar and S. Mountain Avenue, just before 8 p.m. Saturday.
At least one person was seriously injured as a result of the crash.
Authorities closed both directions of Irvington Rd as they investigated the accident. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and to expect traffic delays.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the victim were not immediately released.
