TUCSON, AZ – Authorities have released more information regarding a pedestrian accident in Tucson last week that left a toddler in critical condition and are asking the public to help them with their search for a suspect.

This is an update to a previous story.

Ofc. Melissa Ayun with the Tucson Police Department reports that on Friday evening at the intersection of W. Irvington Road and S. 9th Avenue, a driver struck a 2-year-old child who was crossing at a crosswalk. The driver then fled the scene.

The child suffered severe, life-threatening injuries, and remains in critical condition.

The suspect’s vehicle is a silver 2011-2014 Ford F-150 4×4 Platinum Edition pickup truck. The pickup also has a silver wrap around the rear tailgate.

Those with any information on the vehicle or driver are asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME to speak with Tucson Police.
