Woman dead after being hit by Union Pacific train in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – A woman was fatally struck by a Union Pacific train in central Tucson on Sunday morning, according to KOLD News 13.

The crash happened near W 5th Street and N Main Avenue at about 10:30 a.m., when a female pedestrian was struck by a Union Pacific train.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead after the collision.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
