PRESCOTT, AZ – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a wrong-way collision on Route 89A in Prescott last week, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash happened at around 1 a.m. Thursday on eastbound Rt 89A near the Granite Dells Parkway overpass, as the driver of a white pickup truck was headed westbound, against the flow of traffic.

He then collided head-on with a passenger vehicle being driven by a 28-year-old person from Prescott Valley.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 38-year-old Prescott man, was airlifted to the hospital in Phoenix for the treatment of severe, critical injuries.
