1 killed, over 45 injured during tour bus rollover crash in NW AZ

MEADVIEW, AZ (MOHAVE COUNTY) – One person was killed and over 45 people were hurt when a tour bus bound for Las Vegas crashed in northwestern Arizona last week.

According to KLAS, the accident occurred on Diamond Bar Road, near mile marker 5, at about 12:20 p.m. Friday afternoon, when the Vegas-based bus overturned while on the way to a sightseeing spot in Grand Canyon West.

The bus contained at least the driver and 47 other people when it crashed.

One person died as a result of the accident.

Two patients were airlifted to the hospital in Las Vegas for the treatment of critical injuries. Another person, also suffering critical wounds, was taken in for treatment via ground ambulance.

45 people in total were taken to the hospital in Kingman.

According to the report, speeding may have been a factor in the collision.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
