2 adults, 2 children hospitalized after driver crashes into Circle K in Surprise

SURPRISE, AZ (MARICOPA COUNTY) – Two adults and two children were hospitalized after an allegedly drunk driver crashed into a Circle K in Surprise on Saturday evening.

According to ABC 15 News, the crash occurred near the intersection of Bell Road and 114th Avenue at about 6:30 p.m., when a man driving a silver sedan backed into the front door of the store. The vehicle collided with multiple people, then the driver pulled out.

A 5-year-old child, an 8-year-old child, and two adults were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

The driver and his female passenger were not hurt.

Authorities took the driver into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
