Bicyclist riding uphill fatally struck by driver in NE Pima County

CATALINA, AZ (PIMA COUNTY) – A man riding a bicycle was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Catalina this weekend, according to KOLD News 13.

The crash occurred on Mainsail Boulevard, near Oracle Road, at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, when the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the back of a man riding a bicycle uphill.

The victim, Chad Butler, 49, was killed at the scene of the crash. The driver was not reported as injured.

Authorities closed the intersection for a time as they worked the case. Their investigation continues at this time.
