WICKENBURG, AZ (MARICOPA COUNTY) – One person was killed after their vehicle collided with a semi-truck on Highway 93, north of Wickenburg, on Thursday morning, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The collision occurred near milepost 179 before 9:20 a.m., when the driver of a van drifted into the oncoming traffic lanes. The vehicle then crashed into a semi-truck, causing the driver of the van to be pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured.
Authorities closed down traffic in both directions after the collision. By 10:20 a.m., the roadway was clear.
