Man crossing the street in Tolleson is fatally struck by vehicle

TOLLESON, AZ – A man crossing the street was fatally struck by a car in Tolleson late Sunday night, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The crash happened near the intersection of W Van Buren Street and N 99th Avenue at about 11 p.m., as a man was walking across the roadway and then was hit by a driver.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead after the crash.

The driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of having been under the influence.

Authorities stated that the victim was reportedly not crossing within a crosswalk area, though their investigation continues at this time.
