Multi-vehicle crash leaves one woman dead in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – One woman is dead following a crash involving multiple cars on 45th Avenue and Indian School Road on Sunday night.

According to FOX10, the victim has been identified as Cheryl Anderson, 63. Anderson died of her injuries later at a hospital.

The accident happened when a Kia Soul turned left in front of a Hyundai Sonata around 11 p.m. Anderson was a passenger in the Kia.

Police say there were six people in the Hyundai; three were hospitalized and three others attempted to run from the scene. Police believe the driver of the Hyundai may have been impaired.

The driver of the Kia did not show signs of impairment.
