Three motorcyclists killed in multi-vehicle crash in Cochise Co.

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (COCHISE COUNTY) – Three motorcyclists were killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Cochise County late Friday night, according to KGUN 9.

The accident occurred on Highway 90, near milepost 330 and the San Pedro River, at about 10:30 p.m., when a motorcyclist reported attempted to pass a vehicle while in a no-passing area. The motorcycle then crashed head-on into an SUV.

A second motorcyclist, also passing the same vehicle, lost control of the vehicle. They and their passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

Another SUV then collided with the rear of the first SUV.

The three people riding motorcycles were killed in the crash. Their identities were not immediately released.

Multiple other people were taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical wounds.

The accident remains under investigation.
