Narrative
PRESCOTT, AZ – One person died, and another sustained serious injuries in a three-vehicle collision involving a cement mixer in Prescott.
The incident occurred just before noon at the intersection of Williamson Valley Road and Pioneer Parkway, which is just east of Prescott National Forest.
Police say that two vehicles collided near the intersection as one attempted to pass the other. A cement mixer then struck the passing vehicle.
A female passenger in the passing vehicle died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
Medics airlifted the driver of the passing vehicle to the hospital with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
