18-year-old killed in two-vehicle collision at 43rd and Missouri Aves

GLENDALE, AZ – An 18-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle collision in southeastern Glendale on Saturday morning, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash occurred near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Missouri Avenue at about 9:45 a.m., when the 18-year-old driver of a sedan, identified as Jacob Moreno, lost control of his vehicle and swerved to the left side of the roadway. There, he collided with a white pickup truck.

Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two occupants of the pickup truck were not hurt in the crash.

Authorities do not believe that intoxicated driving played a role in the collision.

The accident remains under investigation.
