PEORIA, AZ – A Peoria police officer and another person were hospitalized after an allegedly impaired driver crashed head-on into the officer’s patrol vehicle on Tuesday, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash happened near the intersection of Sweetwater Avenue and 83rd Avenue on Tuesday morning, when the driver of a white pickup truck crashed head-on with a Peoria police vehicle.
The officer was taken to the hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
The at-fault driver, who is suspected of having been under the influence, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
