2 dead after car crashes into tow truck head-on west of Phoenix

TOLLESON, AZ – Two people were killed after a vehicle collided with a tow truck west of Phoenix on Friday evening, according to ABC 15 News.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. in Tolleson, at McDowell Road and 83rd Avenue.

A passenger vehicle reportedly went over the median and into the lane of oncoming traffic. There, it collided head-on with a tow truck, then burst into flames.

Two people, 25-year-old Guadalupe Orosco and 35-year-old Amanda Ramirez, were trapped inside the burning vehicle, and died at the scene.

The truck driver was not reported as injured.
