PHOENIX, AZ – ABC15 News reports that a bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Phoenix on Monday.

The crash was reported shortly after midnight on Monday near the intersection of Cave Creek Road and Beardsley Road. Authorities say a bicyclist was struck by a driver near the intersection, who immediately fled the scene after the collision.

The bicyclist sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are still searching for the driver and vehicle involved in the incident.
