Narrative

PHOENIX, AZ – According to ABC15, a female pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Phoenix on Friday morning.

The accident took place shortly before 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of 49th Avenue and Thomas Road. Authorities say the pedestrian was walking along the road when she was struck by a driver, who immediately fled the scene following the collision.

The pedestrian sustained serious, life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She remains in critical condition.
