Narrative

TEMPE, AZ – According to FOX10 Phoenix, one person was killed in an accident involving a dump truck in Tempe early Thursday morning.

The crash was reported around 3:00 a.m. on Loop 202, near McClintock Drive. Authorities say a driver of a dump truck was working on a construction project near McClintock when he drove the truck into the travel lanes on Loop 202 and cut off an eastbound SUV. The driver of the SUV struck the dump truck from behind.

The driver of the SUV was killed in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured and arrested at the scene under suspicion of impaired driving.
