TEMPE, AZ – Authorities responded to a serious car accident at an intersection in east Tempe yesterday afternoon, according to the Tempe Police Department.

The crash happened at E University Drive and S McClintock Drive at around 12:30 p.m., and involved at least two vehicles, one of them a Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
Authorities closed southbound traffic at 3rd Street.
By 4 p.m., the roadway was clear.
