TUCSON, AZ – At least one person was severely injured in a collision in north Tucson on Sunday night, according to the Tucson Police Department.

The crash occurred at the intersection of E River Road and N 1st Avenue at about 9 p.m.
At least one person suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Photos from the scene show a white SUV with damage to the rear bumper of the vehicle.
It is not clear what exactly caused the crash at this point.
Authorities shut down the intersection in all directions as they investigated the accident.
