Two tow truck workers hurt in hit-and-run semi accident near Marana

MARANA, AZ – Two people operating a tow truck sustained serious injuries near Marana last week after they were struck by a semi-truck that then left the scene of the crash.

According to KPHO, the accident occurred on I-10, northeast of Pinal Airport, on Thursday night, when the driver of a white-semi truck collided with a tow truck that was parked on the side of the road, then fled the scene.

Two people working on the tow truck sustained severe injuries as a result. Their identities were not immediately available.

Authorities are searching for the driver and the vehicle, which may have damage to the passenger-side light and the front and right sides of the truck body.
