1 dead, 1 hospitalized after small plane crashes west of Page

PAGE, AZ – One person was killed and another was airlifted to the hospital last night when a small aircraft crashed in northern Arizona after leaving Las Vegas, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash occurred west of Page at about 9:15 p.m., as a Piper PA28R-200 was bound for the Page Municipal Airport.

One of the two occupants of the plane was pronounced dead after the crash.

The other victim was airlifted to the hospital in St. George, Utah, for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The victims were not immediately identified.

The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
