MARICOPA, AZ – A 7-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after being ejected from a vehicle on State Route 347 near the Gila River overpass Monday.
According to In Maricopa, the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Police say no other vehicles were involved.
Before the crash, witnesses reported seeing the driver of the white Nissan driving erratically before the crash. The white Nissan eventually rolled off the highway, ejecting the girl.
The driver and the young girl were both taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
